AIMS Multimedia Partners with LearningStation to Stream On-Demand Curriculum Videos via the Internet to Arizona Schools

Recently, AIMS Multimedia (www.aimsmultimedia.com) entered into a partnership with LearningStation (www.learningstation.com), a Charlotte, NC-based application service provider, to provide DigitalCurriculum.com (DCc) streaming curriculum videos to all schools in Arizona.

LearningStation is part of an ASP consortium that is providing software titles to schools under the 1998 “Students: FIRST” initiative that mandates equal funding and resources for every school in the state. As a result, every Arizona school now has a free Internet connection and access to a host of software and programs, including programs on DigitalCurriculum.com. “(DigitalCurriculum.com) from AIMS Multimedia enhances our product offering by providing hundreds of cross curriculum and cross grade level videos,” said Heidi Holquist, marketing manager at LearningStation. “AIMS video’s offer multiple streaming rights and strong functionality across high and low bandwidth environments.

LearningStation was especially interested in the learning and teaching modules (online testing, teaching and instructional materials) that accompany each video.” She added that “the management team at AIMS was a pleasure to work with and fully understood the opportunity to have the videos delivered via the ASP model especially throughout the entire state of Arizona.” Arizona students and teachers logging onto LearningStation will be able to select from one of three libraries (primary, middle and high school) containing 100 specially selected AIMS videos.

Users will also have access to AIMS Teaching Modules (ATMs), study guides, quizzes and other resources available to DCc subscribers. Subscriptions will also be available through LearningStation for those interested in utilizing the full complement of DCc titles and instructional resources. “AIMS is pleased to work with LearningStation to provide Arizona students and educators with the latest in Internet curriculum video streaming and other lesson support material,” said Wynn “Biff” Sherman, president of AIMS Multimedia. “We applaud the Arizona officials who created and are implementing the ASP program, and are happy to play a part in this groundbreaking initiative.”
