Chancellor Beacon Academies to Offer ASP Technology
Miami, Fla.— July 9, 2003 Chancellor Beacon Academies, Inc. has entered into a strategic partnership with LearningStation, an educational Application Service Provider (ASP), to provide a customized online launching tool to participating Chancellor Beacon schools. The CBA Online Student Success Center will allow students and teachers to access educational programs and resources using the power of the Internet. Chancellor Beacon is the second largest charter school management organization in the nation.
The CBA Online Student Success Center will include customized Education DesktopsSM that will be rolled out to each of Chancellor Beacon’s 65 charter schools over a three-year period. The Education Desktops will provide students, teachers and administrators with anytime, anywhere access to an easy-to-use online computing environment where they can select from a variety of curriculum software programs, educational resources, lesson plans and a state standard alignment tool.
