DLI Penetrates K - 12 Market Through Partnership with LearningStation
Distance Learning, Inc (DLI), a provider of Web-based solutions for the English Language Training market, and LearningStation, a leading Application Service Provider (ASP) to the K-12 education market, announced today the formation of a partnership to offer DLI’s highly regarded ESL content as a part of LearningStation’s full K-12 technology solution.
The flagship opportunity for both companies is with the State of Arizona’s public school system, currently being rolled out. “DLI’s ESL courseware will be an important addition to our service package to schools across the nation, starting with the Arizona school system. DLI’s use of acclaimed, accredited pedagogy and highly interactive content will enhance the quality and breadth of our total course offering,” states Jim Kirchner, President at LearningStation.
Currently, US schools demand for quality ESL training outweighs the supply of traditional classroom based instruction. DLI’s cutting edge, high quality solutions fill this gap, reaching a sizable population of students who need an effective solution to their ESL learning needs. This is the case in Arizona where LearningStation is responsible for the delivery of educational software and productivity applications to the State’s 1,250 schools.
The ASP implementation will target every student and teacher in the Arizona community, as well as parents. “LearningStation’s technology initiatives are landmark events in the K-12 classroom, facilitating the equal educational opportunities to all students,” said Stephen Cervieri, Director of Sales and Marketing, DLI. “We are excited to be a part of their ASP service offering. The US has the largest wired population of ESL students in the world. Together, we will to bring ESL training to those who need it most.”
