LearningStation and VIP Tone Partner to Advance Teacher Collaboration
Charlotte, N.C. – September 24, 2008 – LearningStation, a leading provider of customized, online solutions for the K-12 classroom, today announced a partnership with VIP Tone, Inc., a leading provider of K-20 education-specific application integration and single sign-on solutions with powerful resources for teaching and learning. The partnership will result in the integration of LearningStation’s proven solutions with VIP Tone’s EduTone™ Platform, an education services integration and on-demand delivery infrastructure.
As a result of the agreement, an introductory version of LearningStation’s LS Education Backpack will be provided free of charge to all teachers registered in the EduTone Community’s We The Teachers™ (www.wetheteachers.com), a social networking Web site that brings together educators worldwide to collaborate and share resources. The LS Education Backpack is a safe and secure Web-based file storage solution that allows students and teachers to access files and documents, such as homework assignments or lesson plans, anywhere at anytime. Additionally, the partnership will offer customers of the EduTone Xchange™, a catalog that includes hundreds of pre-integrated software and content subscription services, access to LearningStation’s LS Test Builder, an e-learning tool that enables educators to easily create, deliver and assess standards-based formative practice tests.
