Two LearningStation Solutions Named Finalists in 2006 SIIA CODiE Awards Competition
The Education Desktop and LearningStation Test Builder named finalists; 2nd CODiE honor for the Education Desktop
Charlotte, N.C. — January 25, 2006 The Education Desktop and LearningStation Test Builder, two online resources for teaching and learning developed by LearningStation, have been announced as finalists for the Software & Information Industry Association’s (SIIA) 21st Annual Codie Awards. The Education Desktop was named a finalist in the Best Instructional Solution: Web-based or Online category. LearningStation Test Builder was named a finalist in the Best Student Test Preparation Solution category.

The Education Desktop is a customizable online portal that delivers to schools a wide variety of proven, engaging applications designed to personalize learning, support effective learning relationships. and improve student achievement. LearningStation Test Builder is an intuitive online environment for creating, delivering and assessing standards-based formative practice tests. First released in October 2005 to Desktop users in the state of Kansas, LearningStation Test Builder helps teachers prepare their students for state-mandated tests and gauge student readiness.

Established in 1986, the Codie Awards is the longest-running awards program in the software and information industry, showcasing the most innovative products and services in the software and digital content industry. Winners will be announced at the 21st Annual Codie Awards Gala on May 16, 2006, at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco, Calif.
